One Journey · Belém, Rua de Belém
One Journey's guide meets you in the middle of Belém and walks a loop past the Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries), Belém Tower and Jerónimos, ending with Vasco da Gama's tomb and fresh pastéis. It's the cheapest guided walk here, and a good fit for a short afternoon.

Look for a red and white One Journey sign in front of the McDonald's on the corner of Rua de Belém. From there it's two hours on foot: Afonso de Albuquerque square, Avenida Brasília by the river, ten minutes at the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, then Belém Tower, Rua Praia do Bom Sucesso and the Centro Cultural de Belém, about ten minutes each.
The loop finishes at Jerónimos. You see the monastery from outside, then go into the Church of Santa Maria de Belém for 20 minutes, where Vasco da Gama is buried. The church is free; the cloister is not. If you want it, book the "+ Jerónimos Monastery Ticket" option, which adds entry but no guide inside. Pastéis are part of the tour.
The Padrão stop is ten minutes, outside, and its EUR 10 ticket isn't included (the monument's ticket page). The guide most reviews name is Sheldon, and guests talk about the depth of the history more than the sights. Groups go up to 20.
Meet the guide with the red and white One Journey sign in front of the restaurant.
The first viceroy of India, then across to the river.
The monument and its figures, from the outside.
The tower on the water, then the walk back along Rua Praia do Bom Sucesso.
The Centro Cultural de Belém and the monastery facade.
Inside the church to the tomb of Vasco da Gama. Ticket holders go on into the cloister alone.
