## Corrections to claims found elsewhere

- Belém tours do not take you up the Padrão: they stop outside (5-30 minutes) or drive past. The rooftop ticket is bought separately.
- The full ticket is EUR 10 in 2026; older listings still quote EUR 8.50 for adults (that is now the senior price).
- The lift does not reach the terrace: the last 42 steps are stairs, so the viewpoint is not wheelchair accessible.
- The monument was not built in 1940 in its current form: the 1940 version was temporary; the stone monument dates from 1960.
- Belém Tower reopened in late May 2026 after restoration, with timed entry; it was closed from April 2025.
