My Lisbon Tours · Belém, Praça Afonso de Albuquerque
My Lisbon Tours walks a group of eight at most through Belém: the pastry shop, an hour in Jerónimos, Belém Tower and a full half hour at the Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries). Pick it for the small group and the time at each sight.

This is the slow way round Belém. You meet at the statue in the middle of the Afonso de Albuquerque garden, opposite the pink Belém Palace, and spend three hours on foot with a guide and seven other people at most. The itinerary is generous where it counts: 15 minutes at Pastéis de Belém, an hour in the Jerónimos Monastery, 30 minutes at Belém Tower and 30 at the Padrão.
Thirty minutes at the Padrão is the longest stop of any tour on this site, long enough to find Vasco da Gama, Magellan and Queen Philippa among the figures and walk the wind rose. Guests also mention a coffee and a custard tart at the bakery stop, though the listing doesn't list food as included.
Now the catch. The price covers the guide only. The Jerónimos cloister ticket (EUR 18 per adult) is not included, and the operator says you need to buy it before the day; they tell you how after booking. The Padrão stop is outside, and its EUR 10 ticket is extra too (see the monument's ticket page). Add both and you're near the price of the Jerónimos tour with the ticket included, with a much smaller group.
Meet at the statue in the centre of the garden. The guide starts with the explorers before you walk past the Belém Palace.
The original bakery on Rua de Belém and the story of the tart and the monks.
A short look at the outside, then an hour inside with the ticket you bought in advance.
The 16th-century tower on the water and the tale of the ships it guarded.
The finish by the river: Henry the Navigator, the figures, the wind rose. The tour ends here, by the ticket office.
★★★★★Communication regarding the meeting instructions was clear and the location was easy to find. [...] The day started with a short walk to the famous pastry shop. We learned about its history and each received a pastry.
★★★★★Great way to see some of Lisbon's highlights. Highly recommend as the guide Andre is extremely knowledgeable and knows a great deal about the history, architecture etc. and really brought the tour to life. Group size was perfect.
★★★★★I have to congratulate our guide Rui on the breadth & depth of his knowledge. His tour was engaging & sensitive to our needs. [...] We learned so much about history, culture & politics.
★★★★★He knew the answer to everything we asked and being in a small group was super [...] He stopped and took pics of all of us whenever we wanted.

No. The listing excludes it and puts it at EUR 18 per adult. You have to buy it in advance, and the operator tells you how after booking. The monastery's church is free.
30 minutes, outside. That's the longest stop at the monument of any Belém tour we list, but the visit up the tower is not part of it. The Padrão's own ticket is EUR 10 in 2026.
At the statue in the centre of the Afonso de Albuquerque garden (Praça Afonso de Albuquerque), across the road from the Belém Palace. Tram 15E stops right next to it.
Yes, with an adult. The adult price applies from 18; ages 12 to 17 pay a child rate. The operator asks for moderate fitness, so very young kids may tire on a three-hour walk.
